Mark your calendars for Dining Out for Life on April 26th, presented by Hoosier Parks Racing and Casino; nearly 40 restaurants in the Indianapolis area will donate 25%, 50%, or 100% of their entire day’s sales to fight AIDS in Indy. There are no codes to mention, and no special menus – just grab a bite to eat!
So which restaurants will be participating in this year’s event? Check out our complete list online at www.diningoutforlife.com or www.damien.org. Red Lion Grog House will be donating 100% of their day’s sales to The Damien Center; this is the first time Indianapolis has been graced with such generosity! We also have old favorites like Santorini Greek Kitchen, Metro Nightclub, R bistro, The Legend Café, and English Ivy’s – some of whom have been participating since the very beginning. We also have some great new places like JT’s Grille & Bar, The Columbia Club, Pizzology, and Chef Joseph’s at the Connoisseur Room that are simply dripping with deliciousness! For even more fun, join us for the Dining Out for Life Afterparty beginning 8pm at Talbott Street on April 26th – the cover and a portion of your drinks will go to The Damien Center!
Dining Out for Life is an international event in 60 cities with over 3,000 participating restaurants. This international event collectively raises over $3 million each year to support local HIV/AIDS programming.
Support for this event nationally has grown to over 250,000 diners, thanks in large part to the efforts of Dining Out for Life Spokesperson Ted Allen, host of Food Network’s primetime competition series Chopped. Allen will be joined by Pam Grier, actress, advocate and author of the memoir Foxy—My Life In Three Acts, as well as Daisy Martinez from the Food Network’s ¡Viva Daisy! Subaru is the proud Host Sponsor of Dining Out For Life.
We are delighted to have numerous sponsors for this year’s event, including Event Presenting Sponsor Hoosier Park Racing Casino, along with GayIndy.com, The WORD, Entercom Indianapolis, NUVO, Fineline Printing, WTHR Channel 13, Yelp Indianapolis, Talbott Street, Silver in the City, Just Pop In, and Jockomo’s UpperCrust Pizza.
